Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Flyers by Michael Quanne. The price achieved of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,196.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Quanne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mortons Umbrella's in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,098.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flyers von Michael Quanne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.196,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Quanne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mortons Umbrella's im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.098,56).
