Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Kagan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work I Say What I Mean and I Do What I Say sold for HKD 201,600.00 (€ 25,834.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Kagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work It Begins in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Kagan erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online wurde die Arbeit I Say What I Mean and I Do What I Say für HKD 201.600,00 (€ 25.834,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Kagan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit It Begins im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43).
