Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lagny, La Marne et le Pont de Fer by Maximilien Luce was sold in the The Alan and Simone Hartman CollectionThe Inaugural Sale auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. The price achieved of USD 254,500.00 (€ 230,066.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maximilien Luce achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baigneuses à Saint-Tropez in May last year with an auction result of USD 4,527,000.00 (€ 4,218,618.95).
