In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Coin de Marais á Palluel by Maurice Lemaître. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,280.54), 48% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice Lemaître have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre - 1968 in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.

Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coin de Marais á Palluel von Maurice Lemaître zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.280,54) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Lemaître auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1968 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
