Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Best friends by Maud Earl was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,896.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maud Earl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pointer In A Landscape At Sunset in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 113,854.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Best friends von Maud Earl kam im März 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.896,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maud Earl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pointer In A Landscape At Sunset im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.000,00 (€ 113.854,59).
