Auction result well in line with expectations

The work U2, New York, NY, 2000 by Mark Seliger was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,674.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mark Seliger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work President Barack Obama, Washington, DC, 2010 in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,389.72).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit U2, New York, NY, 2000 von Mark Seliger kam im Juni 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.674,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
