In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Lynne Drexler. The »bidding war« ended at USD 44,800.00 (€ 41,070.77), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynne Drexler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herbert's Garden in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,397,819.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lynne Drexler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 44.800,00 (€ 41.070,77) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynne Drexler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herbert's Garden im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.397.819,40).
