Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A kitchen still life by Luigi Zago. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 1,053.18 (€ 448.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Luigi Zago have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Custozza in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A kitchen still life von Luigi Zago zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 1.053,18 (€ 448,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Zago auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Custozza im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.800,00.
