Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louay Kayyali could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction, the work Still Life (Apples & Pears) changed hands for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,130.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louay Kayyali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cake (Kaak) Seller in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 137,562.00 (€ 151,500.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louay Kayyali konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Still Life (Apples & Pears) für GBP 956,25 (€ 1.130,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louay Kayyali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cake (Kaak) Seller im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.562,00 (€ 151.500,70).
