In the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Al Na'Ma Raqam (2) (The Sleeping Lady Number (2)) sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 56,956.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louay Kayyali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cake (Kaak) Seller, which sold at auction in June 2020 for GBP 137,562.00 (€ 151,500.70).
