Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Lady by Lin Yong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 10,674.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lin Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lady Tidying Her Hair in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 82,546.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady von Lin Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 10.674,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lady Tidying Her Hair im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 82.546,36).
