Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Village Life by Lim Tze Peng. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,069.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lim Tze Peng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Singapore River Scene in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 141,588.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village Life von Lim Tze Peng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.069,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lim Tze Peng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Singapore River Scene im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 141.588,62).
