Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Singapore River Scene by Lim Tze Peng was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,960.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lim Tze Peng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Singapore River Scene in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 141,588.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Singapore River Scene von Lim Tze Peng wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.960,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lim Tze Peng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Singapore River Scene im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 141.588,62).
