Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Li Kuchan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Cologne in May this year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Fishes sold for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,837.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Kuchan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egret by Lotus in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 168,189.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Kuchan erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Fishes für HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.837,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Kuchan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egret by Lotus im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 168.189,06).
