Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Return from Herding by Li Keran was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 83,063.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Keran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Mountains With Gushy Cascades in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 122,162,500.00 (€ 13,445,426.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Return from Herding von Li Keran wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 83.063,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Keran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnificent Mountains With Gushy Cascades im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 122.162.500,00 (€ 13.445.426,25).
