This artwork by Leslie Hurry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2002. In the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Alone She Stood sold for GBP 352.50 (€ 545.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Hurry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dead Of Night in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,009.18).
