Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Foujita could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work L’Intérieur Du Café changed hands for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 26,021.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 260,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Foujita konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit L’Intérieur Du Café für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 26.021,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
