Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work In The Seraglio by Leo Putz. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,586.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Putz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Hinter Den Kulissen (Behind The Scenes) in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 423,914.76).
