The work From Point(Painted In 1984) by Lee Ufan was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 900,000.00 (€ 108,838.00), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Ufan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit From Point(Painted In 1984) von Lee Ufan wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 108.838,00) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Ufan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
