Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Correspondance by Lee Ufan. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 3,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 3,402,000.00 (€ 407,767.41). Admittedly, works by Lee Ufan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Correspondance von Lee Ufan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 3.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 3.402.000,00 (€ 407.767,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Ufan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
