Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Piazza San Marco, Venice by Ken Howard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,173.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Howard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From The Royal Exchange, Rain Effect in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 39,336.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piazza San Marco, Venice von Ken Howard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.173,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Howard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From The Royal Exchange, Rain Effect im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 39.336,39).
