Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE, which included the work Poplars by Ken Howard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 652.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Howard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From The Royal Exchange, Rain Effect in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 39,336.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poplars von Ken Howard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 652,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Howard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From The Royal Exchange, Rain Effect im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 39.336,39).
