Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Kikoji (Nara ken) (Kiko Temple Nara Prefecture), 1950 Yoshinogawa Yanagi no watashi (Yanagi Ferry, Yoshino River), 1950 Iyo Baishinji no hama (Baishinji Beach, Iyo), 1950 by Kawase Hasui. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,673.00 (€ 1,361.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kawase Hasui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,783.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kikoji (Nara ken) (Kiko Temple Nara Prefecture), 1950 Yoshinogawa Yanagi no watashi (Yanagi Ferry, Yoshino River), 1950 Iyo Baishinji no hama (Baishinji Beach, Iyo), 1950 von Kawase Hasui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.673,00 (€ 1.361,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kawase Hasui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 64.783,62).
