Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kawase Hasui could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Amakusa yori mitaru Unzen (View of Mount Unzen from Amakusa), 1937.10 Tsuki no Kiyosumien (Moon over Kiyosumi Garden), 1938.1 Kikoji--Nara ken (Kiko Temple, Nara Prefecture), 1950 Nikko shinkyo (Sacred bridge, Nikko), 1953.12 changed hands for USD 1,792.50 (€ 1,086.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kawase Hasui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,783.62).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kawase Hasui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 64.783,62).
