This artwork by Katherine Bradford achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in July this year. In the New Now auction, the work Shelf Men with Rainbow sold for GBP 15,240.00 (€ 17,780.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Katherine Bradford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swimmer, 4 Lifeguards in November this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 138,613.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Katherine Bradford erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Shelf Men with Rainbow für GBP 15.240,00 (€ 17.780,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katherine Bradford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swimmer, 4 Lifeguards im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 138.613,86).
