Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Pizza Pizza by Katherine Bernhardt for HKD 228,600.00 (€ 26,825.08). This price was achieved in the auction New Now & Design at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katherine Bernhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pizza Pizza von Katherine Bernhardt für HKD 228.600,00 (€ 26.825,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now & Design bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
