Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work On the Grand Canal before Santa Maria della Salute, Venice by Karl Kaufmann. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,558.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Kaufmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work German constantinople in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,777.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Grand Canal before Santa Maria della Salute, Venice von Karl Kaufmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.558,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Kaufmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit German constantinople im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.777,70).
