Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work Gondolas moored before Venice by Karl Kaufmann. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,407.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Kaufmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German constantinople in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,777.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gondolas moored before Venice von Karl Kaufmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.407,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Kaufmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit German constantinople im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.777,70).
