Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by K. Laxma Goud for USD 1,400.00 (€ 1,431.05). This price was achieved in the auction Centering the Figure: South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art from the Collection of Romi Lamba at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by K. Laxma Goud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von K. Laxma Goud für USD 1.400,00 (€ 1.431,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Centering the Figure: South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art from the Collection of Romi Lamba bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von K. Laxma Goud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31).
