Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by K. Laxma Goud. The price achieved of USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,004.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by K. Laxma Goud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von K. Laxma Goud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.004,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von K. Laxma Goud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31).
