Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Standing Couple; Seated Couple) by K. Laxma Goud for USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,270.98). This price was achieved in the auction Centering the Figure: South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art from the Collection of Romi Lamba at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by K. Laxma Goud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Standing Couple; Seated Couple) von K. Laxma Goud für USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.270,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Centering the Figure: South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art from the Collection of Romi Lamba bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von K. Laxma Goud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31).
