Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Couple) by K. Laxma Goud was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,398.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by K. Laxma Goud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Couple) von K. Laxma Goud wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.398,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von K. Laxma Goud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31) versteigert wurde.
