In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work An Alpine Landscape by Julius Lange. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,778.21), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Lange achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der Obersee bei Berchtesgarden. 1861. in March 2018 with an auction result of CHF 41,300.00 (€ 35,168.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Alpine Landscape von Julius Lange zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.778,21) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Lange erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der Obersee bei Berchtesgarden. 1861. im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 41.300,00 (€ 35.168,69).
