In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work La Fenaison by Jules Jacques Veyrassat for EUR 4,957.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures at Artcurial in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Jacques Veyrassat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Noonday Meal, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,727.33).
