This artwork by Ju Chao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Hibiscus And Mandarin Ducks sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,591.94) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ju Chao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in October last year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 123,019.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ju Chao erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Hibiscus And Mandarin Ducks für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.591,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ju Chao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 123.019,93).
