Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Pictures: Edinburgh Assembly Rooms, which included the work Baiting The Lines by Joseph Henderson. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,541.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Henderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing from the rocks, which sold at auction in October 2003 for GBP 19,120.00 (€ 27,926.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Pictures: Edinburgh Assembly Rooms durch, in der auch die Arbeit Baiting The Lines von Joseph Henderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.541,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Henderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing from the rocks beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für GBP 19.120,00 (€ 27.926,50) versteigert wurde.
