Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work Oranges, prunes, cherries, figs, grapes, and a rose hanging from a blue ribbon tied to a nail, with a butterfly and other insects nearby by Joris van Son. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,050.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joris van Son achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Grapes, A Melon, An Orange, Plums And Oysters In A Stone Niche in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 130,396.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Pictures and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oranges, prunes, cherries, figs, grapes, and a rose hanging from a blue ribbon tied to a nail, with a butterfly and other insects nearby von Joris van Son zur Versteigerung kam.
