Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jørgen Sonne could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Three studies of soldiers' fortifications at Dannevirke, Schleswig-Holstein; and View of the encampment at Fredericia changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 876.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jørgen Sonne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paysage De Montagne En Italie, which sold at auction in April 2019 for EUR 2,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jørgen Sonne konnte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Three studies of soldiers' fortifications at Dannevirke, Schleswig-Holstein; and View of the encampment at Fredericia für GBP 750,00 (€ 876,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jørgen Sonne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paysage De Montagne En Italie beobachtet, die im April 2019 für EUR 2.600,00 versteigert wurde.
