This artwork by Jorge Camacho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in March 2013. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Ascendant Licorne La Chauve-Souris, 1973 sold for EUR 10,296.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jorge Camacho; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot El cielo y la tierra sold at auction in November 2008 with the realized price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,709.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jorge Camacho erzielte im März 2013 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Ascendant Licorne La Chauve-Souris, 1973 für EUR 10.296,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jorge Camacho; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit El cielo y la tierra im November 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.709,63).
