Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition with figures by Johnny Madsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 29,000.00 (€ 3,890.21). Admittedly, works by Johnny Madsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 38,000.00 (€ 33,210.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition with figures von Johnny Madsen im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 29.000,00 (€ 3.890,21) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johnny Madsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 38.000,00 (€ 33.210,98).
