Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Francis Bacon Photographed At Claude Bernard Gallery, Paris by John Minihan was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,047.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Minihan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Francis Bacon, Paris, 1977 in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,357.77).

Die Arbeit Francis Bacon Photographed At Claude Bernard Gallery, Paris von John Minihan wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.047,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
