Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Monograph of the Loriidae, or Brush-tongued Parrots: Eight Plates by Johannes Gerardus Keulemans was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2002. It achieved a price of USD 4,182.50 (€ 4,243.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Johannes Gerardus Keulemans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A moho takahe (Notornis mantelli) in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,577.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Monograph of the Loriidae, or Brush-tongued Parrots: Eight Plates von Johannes Gerardus Keulemans kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.182,50 (€ 4.243,61) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Gerardus Keulemans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A moho takahe (Notornis mantelli) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.577,88).
