Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & InteriorsCollections, which included the work Two hounds by John Emms. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,929.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Emms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell... (Two Works) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 554,500.00 (€ 448,479.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & InteriorsCollections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two hounds von John Emms zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.929,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Emms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell...
