Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lazy Moments by John Emms was auctioned at Christies in New York in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,826.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Emms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell... (Two Works) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 554,500.00 (€ 448,479.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lazy Moments von John Emms kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.826,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Emms erzielen.
