Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Raft, Eden Rock, Antibes by John Duncan Fergusson was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,348.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Duncan Fergusson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Submarines and Camouflaged Battleship in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,074,000.00 (€ 1,221,882.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Raft, Eden Rock, Antibes von John Duncan Fergusson kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.348,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Duncan Fergusson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Submarines and Camouflaged Battleship im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.074.000,00 (€ 1.221.882,45).
