Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,616.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Duncan Fergusson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Submarines and Camouflaged Battleship in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,074,000.00 (€ 1,221,882.45).
