Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sir Roy Yorke Calne unframed by John Bellany was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,186.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Bellany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen In The Snow in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sir Roy Yorke Calne unframed von John Bellany wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.186,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Bellany erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen In The Snow im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
