Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work The Good Samaritan by Johannes Hendricus Jurres for NLG 877.65 (€ 373.37). This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Hendricus Jurres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cavalrists resting in September 2002 with an auction result of EUR 4,182.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Good Samaritan von Johannes Hendricus Jurres für NLG 877,65 (€ 373,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Hendricus Jurres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cavalrists resting im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.182,50.
