This artwork by Jérôme Mesnager achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in June last year. In the De l'avant-garde à nos jours auction, the work Sous les pavés... La plage sold for EUR 4,845.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jérôme Mesnager; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bellerophon, 1990 sold at auction in February 2012 with the realized price of EUR 6,375.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jérôme Mesnager erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion De l'avant-garde à nos jours wurde die Arbeit Sous les pavés... La plage für EUR 4.845,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jérôme Mesnager; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bellerophon, 1990 im Februar 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 6.375,00.
