Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2004 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE, which included the work Le Palais du Louvre depuis la Seine by Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,525.00 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Views of the Hôtel des Invalides, Paris, each drawing associated with its related print by Jean-Francçois Janinet (1752-1824), which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,272.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Palais du Louvre depuis la Seine von Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.525,00 und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Views of the Hôtel des Invalides, Paris, each drawing associated with its related print by Jean-Francçois Janinet (1752-1824) beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.272,38) versteigert wurde.
